Dharnia's Personal Recount! : That Party Last Night. ;
Last night, my family attended a family-friend's 50th wedding anniversary surprise party. I personally think that they are WAY TOO OLD for a surprise party. Thankfully the old couple didn't faint when we shouted surprise! The event was held at the Tanglin Country Club. Close friends and relatives attended the party. Even my wheel-chair bound grandfather HAD to attend his best friend's party. Even though it meant missing his "Man-U vs Chelsea"(:
As usual, the party was rather boring, but there were some interesting highlights of the night. My friends, the couple's grandchildren, gave an entertaining speech.(: That was followed by many boring speeches. After that, was the most important part of the night, THE FOOD WAS SERVED! It was a DELICIOUS BUFFET! There was a wide spread of food just waiting for us to attack. (: This THANKFULLY included dessert! There was so much awesome food, but my cousins and i decided to refrain from stuffing ourselves. We seriously don't want to grow fat.:O OOH! And my friend's ultra cool uncle, who looks like Lewis Hamilton, asked the waiter to give all the "kids" a glass of champagne each(: AWESOME!
After everyone ate, we settled down for some LIVE ENTERTAINMENT! Twoof the couple's children performed a few songs and they surprisingly sang really well! Then, some uncle, who looked like an "Usher wanna be" started singing some Tamil song HORRENDOUSLY. He also kept "rapping" in-between verses, he'd say stuff like "Thank you all for coming", as if it was his concert. What a loser!
